Absolutely.We feel very strongly about inclusion, and understand the challenges of having dietary or other needs to accommodate. This year, Hive Live conference attendees will have access to an "app", to easily access all of the useful information needed to have the best day possible. We - CP Data Protection® and Luke Beckley - set out to produce an event that we would enjoy attending ourselves, and that we would get value from. The most frustrating reply to my question "why do you want to collect EDI data?" is..."Because the Board and/or the Housing Ombudsman and/or the Regulator of Social Housing say we HAVE to".And as you may be aware, my opinion, based on data protection law, and the Purpose-first approach that I champion (and teach), is that none of these bodies *should* be doing that. Not without some serious consideration of the risks, and the necessary controls, and the huge costs of this data collection. Which isn't always (or often) happening, but is a conversation I'm committed to continuing to have, with anyone who will listen!I'm indebted to Stewart Davison MSc, a housing association board member, who has (bravely?!) volunteered to chat to me next Wednesday at the Hive Online FREE session, to give us the Board-eye view of the EDI data conundrum.Sign up to join the conversation over Teams here:https://lnkd.in/dZREMqvP
