I have a feeling Emeth is originally the Buccaneer of Joyboy's group. That's why they worship Nika and also the reason why the Elders hated them so much. Maybe this will further explain the whole thing about soul with Kuma. The good ending is Luffy's nika power can make Kuma become like Emeth for example.

I wonder about this robot/emeth…

If he activates when nika/joyboy is around… who was joyboy 200y ago when the robot attacked mariejoie?

FINALLY!!! The robot is doing something and it's actually something quite big. Aww, Bonney runned out of steam soo fast but at least she was able to deliver a hit. Too bad she was unable to do anything crazy like Luffy but I guess that's her current limit. And well, seems like we will getting some Joyboy lore after break. Wooooo!, it's about time.

It didn't have to be rule back then. He probably still had some power 200 years ago but run out of it during attack on Marie Geoise. I may be wrong but there is chance that Emeths strong bond with Joyboy kinda work like some spare energy source and that's why he is awakened by his presence. I'm curious what happened 200 years ago that caused Emeths to attack Celestial Dragons though. Mayby WG did something horrible back then and that made robot fight them.

i think that Toki send the robot to the future during a ancient war, or something like that.

To be honest I’m truly relieved she’s not overpowered. It would’ve been something if she could operate around yonko level because of her fruit.

Atleast the first part of the puzzle is a bit clear. It now seems that as long as Emeth has consciousness, it would eventually recall his purpose which is to attack the Gorousei. It probably woke up 200 years ago and attacked after he recalled what to do.

The second part of the puzzle—which is who powered it up—is a bit more tricky, assuming there was no Nika at that time.

I’m beginning to feel that any freedom movement (perhaps on a large scale) could achieve the same result, not just Nika's drums of liberation alone.

The Fishmen were liberated 200 years ago after their freedom movement which led to the peace agreement that prohibited their slavery was adopted, so perhaps Emeth got juiced up a bit because of that?

On the chapter, Luffy's still fighting in playful mode. Hoping that changes quickly after Emeth gets destroyed for real.

Everyone was losing their sh*t over nothing. We just had one of the biggest bads in the series look at the camera and say "Only haki can rule the seas", when confronted with Gear 5. An imitation of Gear 5 was never going to give Bonney Emperor-level haki, but it didn't stop people from screeching all over the place. Looking forward to people like HP going shame-quiet for another few weeks, it'll be nice.

glad to see how to robot could resist the attack of the gorosei (basically all they did is to push him away...and inflict some scratches), and also how the robot is taking part of the battle. Pretty sure, his brute force will definitly make a difference when attakcing the tough warcury.

I also wonder how far they threw Mars flying (and does it make any sense to send a bird flying....) can't wait for the chapter to see more details.
