The Trump campaign “no longer thinks New Hampshire is winnable” and is “pulling back” from the swing state, according to a leaked email from a top volunteer.
Former Republican vice chair in Massachusetts Tom Mountain declared “the campaign has determined that New Hampshire is no longer a battleground state,” according to an email seen by the Boston Globe. Instead, he advised supporters to switch tact and focus on Pennsylvania.
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden appeared in lock-step at their first official joint rally on Monday since the vice president stepped onto the Democratic ticket.
“Are you ready to make Donald Trump a loser again?” the president said to cheers in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, eliminating any doubts of tensions with his VP.
Harris also appeared in person in both Michigan and Pennsylvania on Monday, and deployed several surrogates – including her running mate Tim Walz and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff – across battleground states on her behalf.
In contrast to Harris’s Labor Day blitz, her campaign team accused Donald Trump of “dodging labor on Labor Day” after the Republican’s campaign was limited to a single virtual event.

Michael Steele takes brutal swipe at Lara Trump music video
Former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele has slammed current RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump over her newly-released music video.
Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law first released her song Hero in May, but her music video wasn’t released until late last month. It features moody shots of Lara Trump and co-singer Madeline Jaymes singing in a music studio and, at times, also on a fire escape.
Now, Steele has delivered scathing criticism of the want-to-be musician’s music video – taking a swipe at the Republicans for good measure.
“Ok, y'all can and have said a lot s*** about my time at the RNC, but at least I was ALWAYS on mission–I won elections,” he wrote on X on Monday.
“The RNC hasn't won jack since 2016. But the Co-Chair of the RNC releases her new ‘music’ video just in time for the elections. #Timing. At least, her candidates will have something to listen to as they are packing up the House this December.”

Trump’s nephew says uncle ‘doesn’t give a s*** about soldiers’ in wake of Arlington cemetery furor
Fred Trump III has slammed his uncle Donald Trump over his controversial visit to Arlington National Cemetery, saying he “doesn’t give a s***” about US service members and likening his actions to the ending of The Godfather Part II.
The former president’s nephew spoke to MSNBC‘s Deadline: White House on Monday amid the ongoing backlash Trump is facing over the visit where he posed with a thumbs up at the graves of fallen soldiers, his campaign staffers allegedly shoved a cemetery official, and the team filmed a campaign video – against Arlington’s rules.
Myriam Page takes a closer look at Fred Trump III’s outburst.

Inside Donald Trump's 'weave': MSNBC hosts troll former president as he touts his own genius campaign strategy
MSNBC’s Morning Joe hosts burst into fits of laughter on Tuesday while breaking down Donald Trump’s “brilliant” new political strategy: the weave.
The former president attempted to spin criticism surrounding his rambling monologues and disjointed speeches, claiming it’s an intentional campaigning tactic.
“When I do the weave... you know what the weave is,” Trump said at his Johnstown, Pennsylvania, rally on Friday.
“I’ll talk about nine different things and they all come back brilliant together,” Trump continued weaving his arms and interlocking his fingers. “And friends of mine that are like English professors, they say: ‘It’s the most brilliant thing they’ve ever seen’. But you know the fake news, you know what they say: ‘He rambles.’ It’s not rambling,” he continued in his ongoing ramble.
He continued: “You go for two hours, and you don’t even mispronounce one word.”
Morning Joeanchor Willie Geist and co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski were quick to poke holes in Trump’s genius new tactic.
“That’s Donald Trump telling a crowd in Pennsylvania the other day, rambling, when it was actually part of a brilliant strategy,” Geist said as the other two hosts chuckled away.
“He lays it out like he’s fromA Beautiful Mind; he’s seeing things the rest of us don’t see.”

‘New Hampshire no longer winnable for Trump,' leaked insider email claims
The Trump campaign “no longer thinks New Hampshire is winnable” and is “pulling back” from the crucial swing state, according to a bombshell leaked email from a top campaign volunteer.
Tom Mountain, a former Republican party vice chair in Massachusetts, sent an email to volunteers claiming that “the campaign has determined that New Hampshire is no longer a battleground state,” The Boston Globe reported.
In the email, obtained by the Globe, Mountain advised supporters to turn their attention to Pennsylvania instead, as Trump was “sure to lose by an even higher margin” in New Hampshire than he did in 2016 and 2020.

Second Gentleman says he’ll ‘crawl through glass’ until Harris is elected president
Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff vowed that he’ll “crawl through glass” and “knock down doors” until Americans head to the ballots in November, as he views for Kamala Harris to take the Oval Office.
As part of Harris’s Labor Day blitz, Emhoff was deployed to Newport News for Virginia Representative Bobby Scott’s annual Labor Day cookout.
“How's it going, Virginia?" Emhoff said as he stepped up to the podium.
“I’m going to crawl through shards of glass, I’m going to knock through walls, knock through doors, until November 6 when we can say President Harris and Vice President Walz. Let’s do this,” he vowed in his 15-minute-long address.

Biden, the self-styled ‘most pro-union president in history,’ passes on torch to Harris: ‘I trust her’
Joe Biden told a sea of blue-collar voters that they’re in good hands with Kamala Harris, as the pair set out on their first rally together since the president stepped off the Democratic ticket in July.
The 82-year-old Democrat, who describes himself as the “most pro-union president in American history,” rallied behind his vice president during their joint campaign in the must-win state of Pennsylvania .
Addressing union workers in Pittsburgh, Biden said that Harris is a worthy successor as she vies to shore up the working class vote. Harris and Trump are nearly neck and neck in the Keystone State, with the VP currently leading Trump by one point.
“I know her, I trust her,” he said, adding that a vote for Harris would be “the best decision you will ever make”.
Biden also denounced Donald Trump as self-interested, only caring about lining the pockets of the rich.
“Do you think that guy gives a damn about your pensions? Do you think he cares about good-paying jobs for people who built this economy?,” he asked the crowd.
“No!,” the audience replied.
